Run 10K for FFK

  • Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park London E20 2ST (map)

Following the success of our inaugural FFK Fun Run last year, which saw 158 runners supported by eight sponsor firms raising a net £23,000 for a range of children’s charities, the 2019 FFK Fun Run aims to raise even more vital funds as we hope to attract at least 300 runners and even more sponsorship.

The venue remains the same - the iconic 2012 Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park, and we are honoured that this year’s main trophies will be handed out by Team GB Olympic Gold medallist Christine Ohuruogu. To make the event even more fun, we are including a fancy-dress option, and the run will finish with a party.

This year, we also introduce the Bernadette (Bernie) Connolloy Challenge Cup, in honour of dear friend, colleague and fellow-FFK trustee, Bernie, who sadly died last year. Bernie loved the industry, loved FFK and loved sport and the Olympics in particular. It is fitting that shortly after having been diagnosed with pancreatic cancer, Bernie was one of the ‘heroes’ of the 2012 Olympics in London as an unpaid volunteer. We could think of no better tribute for her. #forbernie.
